Summary
The Credit and Portfolio Manager will be responsible for working with our credit team on loan structure and terms, leading loan requests through the credit approval process, and assisting with the overall portfolio management, administration, as well as client relations.
This role will report to and assist the Senior Credit Officer. The role will partner in managing the bank’s credit administration process and support the relationship management responsibilities of those clients.
The Credit Portfolio Manager will have direct client contact, providing financial analysis to maximize profitability, and will be a valuable member of the loan team for the client. The candidate should have a thorough understanding of the terms and conditions under which the loans should be presented and closed. The candidate should also under credit process, presentation and administration.
Primary Responsibilities:

Provide loan structure guidance and apply analysis assistance to mitigate risks in relationships consistent with Twin Cedars Bank loan policies.

Work with Loan Committee in recommending appropriate structure, e.g., financial and non-financial covenants, and any special approval conditions.

Provide expertise and support in negotiating and documenting transactions with clients.

Facilitate means of receiving continuous financial updates on bank relationships. Assist with the preparation of detailed analysis of borrower's financials and prepare Loan Committee approvals and updates as needed.

Prepare or assist in the preparation of concise, well-reasoned, credit memorandums to maintain timely administration of the bank portfolio.

Assist with the monitoring of the total loan portfolio through report preparation and maintenance.

Monitor loan covenants, ensuring covenants that have been approved are in the loan documents and continuously measured as required.

Administration - Help keep track of ticklers, including documentation exceptions, loan policy exceptions, and anything remaining on the loan closing checklist. This would include board reporting, compilation and may include presenting to the board of directors.

Communicate material financial changes or covenant non-compliance within existing relationships with Loan Committee and the Board of Directors

Prepare Market Studies and Annual Reviews as needed.

Assist with the presentation of loan requests to the respective committees for approval.

Work with Lending Assistants, Account Officers, and other providers to manage the closure and funding of loans.

Assist with loan documentation preparation and closing of loans.

Review loan closing documents and the overall file prior to closing.

Participate in business development efforts with Bank staff, which includes prospect call support and identifying potential additional product needs during underwriting.

May participate in board meetings but will be responsible for supporting board materials.

Other task and responsibilities as delegated by the Senior Credit Officer and President.
Requirements
Requirements
Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationship building both internally and with Twin Cedars clients and prospects.
Exceptional credit/analytical skills including loan doc review
Highly developed communication skills including the ability to write clear and concise credit correspondence.
Capability to independently and proactively manage various relationships and effectively manage multiple priorities during the work week and month.
Expertise in financial computer applications (primarily Microsoft Excel) and database management tools. Knowledge in LaserPro, Fiserv Precision is a plus.
At least 3-5 years of analyzing, negotiating, and/or structuring loan transactions in a corporate lending environment.
Formal credit training preferred and higher level financial education (college, banker school, etc. preferred).
